New Vortex Review From Chris Mccarthy

I have owned the Vortex for several months now, and it has added a lot to my movie watching experience.

After cranking the final battle in the Saving Private Ryan DVD, I was impressed to hear genuine bass coming from the speaker. Explosions through the centre have decent impact, which came close to levels delivered from the Esoterix 1 mk2 mains I have.

The dialog is very clear, even in the most hectic battle sequences in films such as Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. The Vortex fills the room with volume - even on my modest home theatre amp.  It's very well built, large and quite tall for a centre channel.   My 50 inch plasma happily sits atop.

I'd certainly recommend the Vortex to who is after a centre that delivers "a bit more" than the usual centre.
